Alzheimer's and Dementia Care

The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or dementia is very distressing for both the individual concerned and their family and friends. With different forms of dementia it impacts on individuals in many different ways.

At Zinziko we understand that any care and support needs to therefore be both individually tailored and  delivered with kindness, respect and dignity.

An individual with dementia who finds that their mental abilities are starting to slow down will very often become vulnerable and in need of care and support to deal with a sense of insecurity they may possibly be feeling.

At this time their carers, friends and family will be required to be there for them to ensure that they retain their sense of identity, confidence and esteem.

The Zinziko dementia and Alzheimer’s care teams include specially trained support staff who have excellent experience of supporting individuals exactly when they most need it.

We are also able to provide assistance where specialist learning disability care is required including:

  • Challenging behaviours
  • Autism
  • Asperger’s syndrome
  • Sensory impairment
  • Communication needs
  • Complex health needs

Zinziko staff are very experienced and highly trained in providing care and support for those with learning difficulties.

Physical Disabilities Care

Zinziko provides a full range of care services for people living with physical and learning disabilities.

A degenerative disease such as MS or Parkinson’s, or a physical disability which can be experienced without warning such as a stroke, can be very physically and emotionally demanding on both the individual and close family members.

The impact of a physical diability can often make people feel isolated, trapped in their own home or indeed makes them feel that their home is no longer their own as care staff  and a variety of aids and adaptions to their home become both intrusive and unwanted.

Zinziko takes great care to work respectfully in such cases ensuring that care they provide treats the individual in the way they need to go about their daily routines.

Zinziko has experienced care teams across the UK who provide support and care for those with physical disabilities including nurses, health workers and care workers.
